Hyukoh (혁오) is a South Korean indie band. The band was formed in May 2014 and consists of leader, singer, and guitarist Oh Hyuk, bassist Im Dong-geon, guitarist Lim Hyun-jae, and drummer Lee In-woo. Hyukoh has been recognized for their attention to the band’s visual aesthetic, ranging from their music videos to wardrobe choices. In 2019, Hyukoh was invited to perform on the biggest music festival in America, commonly known as Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and they were performing on Sunday, April 14th and a week later as well, on April 21st. Hyukoh’s Stunning Performance At Coachella
Who doesn’t know Coachella? Coachella (originally: The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival) is an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. Held across two weekends every April, the music festival is played out across five main stages. The event features musical artists from many genres of music, including rock, pop, indie, hip-hop, and electronic dance music, as well as art installations and sculptures. Coachella is one of the largest, most famous, and most profitable music festivals in the United States and the world. Coachella always has the best line ups every year. In 2019, Coachella invited some Korean artists, such as Blackpink, Hyukoh, and Jambinai.
Hyukoh is one of the indie rock bands from South Korea. The band was formed in May 2014 and consists of leader, singer, and guitarist Oh Hyuk, bassist Im Dong-geon, guitarist Lim Hyun-jae, and drummer Lee In-woo. Hyukoh released their debut EP 20, named after the band members’ age at the time in September 2014. Hyukoh became one of the most in-demand musical acts across the globe through their prominent genre in mainstream music on an international level. The group has performed at a multitude of international festivals including the Strawberry Music Festival in Shanghai and Beijing and the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan during the summer of 2016. Hyukoh successfully closed the performance when receiving warm support from international fans at Coachella. They performed the songs from the full album 23, EP album 22, and also the b-side songs “Citizen Kane,” “Love Ya!” from the EP album 24 released in 2018. American audiences also showed a wild reaction. After the first concert on April 14th ended, Hyukoh received tons of invitations for interviews.
